"in intercession we make contact with God which leads to Him communicating with us", from opentheword.org

Abinadi makes profound definitions regarding a personal, loving relationship demonstrated from the Savior (Abinadi defending Christ before wicked King Noah, Mosiah chapters).  His power, mercy trumping justice- victory for us.

Mosiah 15:
And thus God breaketh the bands of death, having gained the victory over death; giving the Son power to make intercession for the children of men—
Having ascended into heaven, having the bowels of mercy; being filled with compassion towards the children of men; standing betwixt them and justice; having broken the bands of death, taken upon himself their iniquity and their transgressions, having redeemed them, and satisfied the demands of justice.

"At times in history, mortal men have been executed by crucifixion. But only our Savior, Jesus Christ, embraces us still carrying the marks of His pure love."

  1. Abinadi, is one of my heroes from the scriptures. He declares the wickedness of King Noah and his priests, while as a prisoner. He refuses to recall his words and suffered death by fire. There are times when you need to stand up for righteousness knowing you may be the only one.
