Topic: Purpose

Little babies are so cute.  I love how our twin grandgirls use their hands in responding to questions. You asked where is their beanies on their heads and they point there. You say thank you to them and they gesture their hands to their mouths. Then you watch them do "head, shoulders, knees and toes", and they point there. It is fun to watch each of them do this together. Instinctively doing the gestures independent of the others recognition of the requested actions. Purely and quickly, they respond in complete meekness, faith, innocence, and belief. Do I have or each of us have that type of purifying purpose in our living?

So many sermons could be written about little children.

Isaiah 48:

17    Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
18    O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Thus the topic: Purpose

"And let thy preserving care be with all those who seek thy face and who walk before thee in the integrity of their souls, that they may be lights to the world, instruments in thy hands to bring to pass thy purposes on earth. ("A Witness and a Blessing," Ensign, June 1971, 110.) Joseph Fielding Smith
