Treasure, Story

Years ago, as a young boy I played little league soccer. Our team was called "the dudes"- we had blue and white team uniforms. Each week a player was asked to take the team uniforms home to wash. After a muddy game and losing 25-0, I was assigned to wash duty. Well, my washing failed as the uniforms came out pink and white. Imagine now the "dudettes".

Like this failed washing, our Saviour washes us clean when we fall short, and then gives us a newness, new testament- if you will, or fresh start at our sacramental worship; like a new color (blue, muddy, clean uniforms, then pink). After a completed week or game, into another; our weekly personal sanctification process by partaking of the emblems of the sacrament continues.

26 ¶And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, (New Testament, Matthew, Matthew 26)
